 Aktueller Fokus

  • Within Austria: Sociocultural dynamics of the 5th and 4th millennium BC with a special focus on a) the "Kreisgrabenanlagen"-phenomenon and b) the "Pfahlbau"-phenomenon.
  • Current fieldwork outside of Austria: Iron Age Scythian cultural phenomena in Eastern Ukraine, with a focus on the “superoppidum”-site of Belsk.
  • Another project for 2013–2015 is the production (as part of an international team of four co-authors) of a new major introductory textbook for students of archaeology.
  • In addition, I am working on the sequel to The Artificial Ape.
